Born
in Miami on New Years Day, and raised in Atlanta, Harrison Morgan was
deeply influenced by his family's interest in fine art, architecture,
graphic and fashion design. He attended art schools from a very young
age, culminating in his preference for fashion design. After attending the Atlanta College of Art, Harrison opened a boutique 
in the prestigious Buckhead area of Atlanta, featuring local, original fashion designers. The best-dressed women from Atlanta's social register were attracted to his mastery of merchandising better costume jewelry, fine leather accessories and key wardrobe pieces. It was this early development of his keen eye for imaginative fashion trends that urged him to seek a larger field of expression in New York City. In Manhattan he,began his career at Semplice, a knit sportswear firm; offering leather, knit and woven fabrications; then became assistant designer for Erez, knitwear and leather fashion house. Within the next 2 years, Harrison became Principal Designer for Intercraft International, manufacturers of original, hand beaded, special occasion eveningwear. His unique eye for European, high fashion trend influences transformed the design direction of this collection thereby attracting buyers for upscale retailers in the American market. In 1994, Harrison opened his own showroom on Seventh Avenue, where he sold his original Harrison Morgan evening separates and accessories. Harrison Morgan designs have been seen on such celebrities as Catherine Zeta Jones, Nicole Kidman, Cindy Crawford, Famke Janssen and Emily Watson, among many others. Harrison has served for more than 12 years as principal designer and marketing director for his own company which now refines it's fashion niche to day and evening boleros, shrugs, jackets, shawls and shoulder wraps of fine gauge knitted and silk woven fabrications. The 'cover-up' has proven itself year after year as Harrison's line sells through and reorders again and again at Saks Fifth Avenue. Many of his distinctive designs can also be seen at Henri Bendel, Barneys', Bloomingdales and better specialty stores throughout the U.S. as well as Takashimaya, Japan; Holt-Renfrew, Canada and fine specialty stores in Europe, Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
